It depends on the state you live in. In Utah it is against the law to ride a pocket bike on your neighborhood roads. This is because you can not get it registered with the state. The state will not allow pocket bikes and like "vehicles" to be registered because they have to meet DOT specifications (Such as tire size etc.).
