This is hard to answer without more information. Firstly, your period should start a few days after you start the placebos--it won't be the second you stop taking the active pills. It may be that it just hasn't happened yet.
If that's not the case, it could be caused by a number of things. The estrogen level in the pill may be too low for you, or it may simply be that your body hasn't yet adjusted to the new hormone levels, if you just started taking BC. There is the possibility of pregnancy, so you should take a pregnancy test before starting the next active pills to be certain, but the probability for this is quite low if you've been taking them correctly. It could also be related to stress, illness, activity level, or diet, and have nothing directly to do with the pill at all.
To be safe and to ease your mind, take a pregnancy test, and see your doctor if you're worried. Skipping one month is not usually a big deal, but if you skip more than once, be sure to see your doctor and talk to him or her about changing your prescription to something that works better for you.
Many women stop menstruating completely from oral BCP. chances are if you took your pills as directed you are not pregnant.
Just remember that the best Birth Control is abstination, works every time ;)
Many people are late for their periods. Especially first period and right after lunch. Don't worry about it too much but if it becomes a pattern you may find your grades slipping because you are missing things at the beginning of class. Also you would be surprised how often teachers and professors feel insulted when you are late. Their opinion of you can really effect your grades. Hope this helps....
PS, you are either pregnant, under weight, experiencing high levels of stress, living at a different altitude, recently very ill, or have a naturally non regular cycle. The latter is normal, but should have been that way from the beginning. Changes in cycle regularity should be brought to a doctor. Also many girls use birth control as a cycle regulator. It is advisable to be on birth control anyway because a guy should never have to to wait a month for sex or have to wear a condom... they really are not as good.
See a doctor, have a sandwich, get some Vitim C, and take a prego test if you are sexually active....... and if you are not sexually active don't wait for a special time. Go out and find someone you don't know very well and have sex. It's called random acts of kindness, and it will make that persons week.
Well, some people miss one day and then try to double up the next. I doesn't work like that so you can be pregnant. I DON'T recommend getting an abortion.
most likely, no
Yeah, totally
yes its normal .. but if your period is late more than 20-30days then u should see a doctor..
it probaly is normal
I was the same way. I dont know if it is normal or not but I am 19 now and my period is regular.
five to seven days is normal, but take a pregnancy test to be sure :)
If your period is late and you have been having sex without using anything to prevent pregnancy, you should take a pregnancy test.

Well, if you are pregnant your period will be late - there are many reasons why women skip their period; stress, dieting, extreme exercising, illness (such as the flu), using hormonal birth control, can all effect your period.
yes its normal. you just had a late period now if you mean ur period lasted for 2 weeks then no. see a doctor theres something wrong and you may need to fix it before to late
