Is it normal to shake violently when I'm on my period and to miss part of school because the cramps are so bad I can't function?

Although many women experience these problems, it is not something you should have to put up with every month, and it especially shouldn't be a reason to have to miss school. You should consider going and talking to your doctor about possible solutions such as Birth Control which will help ease up cramps and regulate your periods so you won't have to miss anymore school.
