Is it okay for a 13 year old to have a 16 year old boyfriend?

This would depend on what the parents think about it. It is not too unusual for a 13 year old to date a 15 year old but some parents wouldn't want a girl that age to date anyone. It also depends on what you mean by date. A friendly trip to the movies or a church event probably wouldn't bother too many parents but not many would approve of a more serious sexual type relationship at that age.

i think its ok as long as u can understand him and he can understand yu and always remember age doesnt matter...

o my gosh!!!!! im in 7th grade i am 12 and i had a 14 year old boyfriend too this will sound really pathetic but he dumped me because he was afraid that people would find out that he was dating a 7th grader i was going to dump him but he did it before me

I personally believe the answer is a big straight up NO.

There are a few reasons for this

1. What they are going through are 2 different things
2. Anymore then a year apart in high school is two big of a difference for dating
3. Their maturity is completely different
4. Chances are the relationship won't work for long at all and somebody will get hurt

i say that if you really like the boy go ahead but first make sure what you are doing before you get into something you dont want to be in cause i am 13 and had a 16 year old boyfriend..........so my answer is yes jsut be careful cause some teenage boys are only after one thing.............
