Yes it can and it happens more often than people realize. There are some good reasons why. For instance, Kathryne Hepburn and Spencer Tracy were madly in love, but he was Catholic (divorce was against the law in the Catholic religion) and his wife wouldn't give him a divorce. Hepburn and Tracy had a deep love relationship until the day he died. Some people own business' and divorce could ruin them. However, it's not a good idea to waste your life on someone in this day and age, if they aren't willing to commit. Even if married and having an affair, that person either loves you enough to get a divorce and commit to you or they simply don't love you enough. Marcy
