Converting from the stock auto to the stock AX15 tranny is no problem. It uses the same mounts and everything.
Converting a manual transmission to automatic transmission is not possible but you can replace a manual transmission to an automativ transmission . That is also an expensive deal.
It can be done, but may not be the most feasible.
Have a donor vehicle for the necessary parts. Otherwise, get ready to spend more money on parts than you thought possible to convert this vehicle to manual. A very simple and wise decision is to sell this Wrangler and go buy one with a Manual transmission. You will be money ahead.
Yes
Yes, it would be a lot of work, though.
Yes, with enough money anything is possible.
Yes, you'd have to find the stock automatic transmission for your year and engine size, the stock automatic brake pedal assembly, and miscellaneous small things like transmission fluid, the transmission dipstick tube, linkages, etc.
If the Prelude is an automatic, yes, you use automatic transmission fluid. If it's a manual, there's manual transmission fluid. As much as possible, purchase the manufacturer (Honda) branded transmission fluid.
It isn't possible. You'll need to have the transmission rebuilt.
Why the hell would you want to?
your cluch could be gone!
Yes, by removing the manual transmission and installing an automatic. Unless you have a donor car this would be extremely expensive. My advice is that if you want an A/T sell the car you have and then buy one with an automatic.
