I dont think you could change the Transmission oil for the 1996 Toyota Tercel. Its sealed.
Transmission fluid goes in the transmission of a Toyota Tercel as instructed by the manual for the vehicle. To know what is best to put in the vehicle, get advise from an auto part supplier.
That involves removing the axles the tranny. I just replaced the clutch and tranny on my 95 tercel and it's not fun.
The capacity for a 1995 Tercel automatic transmission is 2.6 liters. The fluid type recommended is Dexron II or IID oil.
