they do it all the time, I'm doing it with an 83, same frame really and very similar body under the outer skin. depending on what engine an what accessories you have you might have to chop up your air box for your hvac(heating and air conditioning box). just search s10 v8 and tons of pages will pop up
It already has throttle body fuel injection.
can I put a 99 Chevy 4l60e transmission in my 86 k5 chevy blazer
YEah
Put it on jack stand. If the four wheel does not engage pull the cord on it and see if you can engage it manualy. If that works the actuater is bad and not pulling the cord.
Yes, you can put a 1998 4WD S10 drive-train on a 1997 Chevy Blazer. However, it will not be an easy process and will require a lot of work to get it installed correctly.
if the blazer is 4x4 and the s-10 has a 4.3 engine then the answer is yes
i believe its dextron 3 and you take out the top plug on the rear of the transfer case and fill it up until it runs out put in plug and your done
Put it in neutral and push it in reverse for about 500 feet it should kick out.
DOT 3 Brake Fluid
no they will not fit the gear ratio is different and the 4x4 axles are longer you will chew out the transfer case as soon as you put it into 4x4 on something packed
no you will have to remove the radiator to move the engine away from the input shaft of the tranny and unbolt the bellhousing. Though it will be alot easier to remove the tranny with the engine on those. i just recently pulled my 4.3 out of my 88 blazer 4x4 and put in a SBC and it took forever to put the top belhousing bolts back in. If i ever have to do it again i will be pulling them out as a unit. Prepare to be turning that wrench for a long time.
you can do anything if you want it bad enough. but yes you can. the 1985 S10 4x4 blazers came with 4 cylinder engines. I know because my parent bought one. it was sorely under powered though.
