NO, not at all. The European Union is a economic and political group that allows it's member nations to trade freely with each other. Persons who are citizens of EU nations also can move freely within the block for employent opportunities. Hardly a one world government plan.
Well there are people that believe its getting too powerful. And they would be right on various counts. EU can also pass laws,regulate companies and the Lisbon treaty is also an example of an attempt to expand the EU's power. EU law also take president over individuals countries laws.
I wouldn't say the EU's goal is a one world government? But they're trying to unite Europe almost under a central authority. Which some say is good because it stops European conflicts. And others say its becoming a capitalistic Soviet Union.
