It is true that if you starve yourself you will lose weight. however, you will lose weight off your most attractive body parts, such as your boobs and bum. Fat will stay around your mid section unless you do cardio, and your legs and arms won't change at all.

Yes, if you resume eating you will gain the weight back. Starving will temporarily cause weight loss, but also slow metabolism, reduce energy, strain the heart and lead to diminished physical/mental activity - among many other side effects. It is best to eat healthy, delicious foods - and to dance, climb things, make love and laugh at it all to keep a healthy weight. No starving or self-loathing required.
