The Lactaid company now makes lactose-free ice cream in several flavors.
Of course, a sugar free ice cream (only with sugar substitutes) contain a very low percentage of sugars from the milk (lactose).
I would use soy milk and whatever flavor of soy or lactose free ice cream. If the lactose is the reason, breyers makes a really good lactose free vanilla.
No, do not feed your ferret ice cream, they are lactose intolerant and it will upset their stomach.
Not yet. Currently the product line only included vanilla.
Yes, cause it is full of sugar ! ---------- Practically all types of ice creams contain carbohydrates (glucides); specific ice creams for diabetics contain nonglucidic sugar substitutes. But ice creams (also for diabetics) can contain lactose from the milk and some sugars from fruits (a special mention for fructose which don't imply the pancreas or insulin in the metabolic assimilation).
It is no easier to digest than plain milk. If you need easy-to-digest milk for lactose intolerance, it is best to try lactose-free milk.
Well in this website I went on it said it did but that seems a bit unlikely if you ask me. Though ice cream has dairy products in it and lots of them can cause constipation. But I wouldn't worry if I were you you enjoy your ice cream :) Everything in moderation anyway is fine
yes. soft serve ice cream does contain milk. the only difference between soft serve and regular ice cream is that soft serve ice cream's ingedrients allow it to have a different freezing point than regular ice cream.
None (He was lactose intolerant)
Not usually. Soy would be used in ice cream to replace the milk (for people who are lactose intolerant or practice vegan eating).
Different dairy products have different amounts of lactose. Hard cheeses, like Swiss, parmesan, and cheddar have less lactose and don't usually cause symptoms. Ice cream and milk have the most lactose. Ice cream also has a high-fat content, which may allow you to enjoy it without symptoms.
