12% of your basic salary is deducted as PF every month and remitted with your EPF account. This amount will be given to you either when you retire or when you resign from your job. You can also withdraw it for certain occasions in between
To write a letter to withdraw your Provident Fund (PF), start by including your personal details at the top, such as your name, address, and PF account number. In the body of the letter, clearly state your intention to withdraw the PF, mention the reason if necessary, and request the necessary forms or confirmation of the withdrawal process. Be sure to sign the letter and provide contact information for any follow-up. Finally, address the letter to the appropriate authority or the HR department of your employer.
Some establishments having less than 20 employees would also be required to obtain PF registration but that is voluntary registration. All the employees will be eligible for a PF from the commencement of their employment and the responsibility of deduction & payment of PF lies with the employer.
