For flat towing, this should only be done if the driveshaft is removed.
If it has a manual transmission, you simply put it into neutral. If it has an automatic transmission, you would need to remove the driveshaft during towing.
No and I could be wrong on this but if it is a true automatic transmission and not the DSG, you have to disconnect the drive wheels from the transmission like with every other car sold with a automatic.
