I've had a Marlin/Glenfield model 50 for many years. I got it in the late 90's at a pawn shop for $100. I dont know if this was a good price, since I can't find anyone who knows what they are worth. It had mild rust on the barrel and many scratches on the stock. After a lot of cleaning, and a refinishing of the stock, the gun looks great. Its also a conversation piece at the range since there arent many left around. The gun shoots great and has become one of my favorite firearms.

The Glenfield model 25 wasn't a Marlin, so determining what it actually is is not easy. Obtain a copy of Modern Gun Values and try and determine the actual manufacturer. A Glenfield version is typically worth 75% of the manufacturer's value.
