The Jewish Bible is called the Tanach. The word Tanach is an acronym made from the names of its three sections: Torah(Teachings), Nevi'im (Prophets), K'tuvim (Writings).

The Torah is the 5 books of Moses.

The Christian Old Testament is based on the whole of the Tanach but was altered to support the teachings of Christianity.

The Torah is part of the Tanakh (Jewish Bible). The Torah is the Five Books of Moses, while the rest of the Tanakh contains prophetic books such as Joshua, Isaiah, Job, and more. The canon of the Tanakh was sealed by a Sanhedrin called the Men of the Great Assembly, which included the last of the Jewish prophets, some 24 centuries ago.

The Christian Bible contains the Tanakh (in translation) plus additional books and sometimes additional text in the same books (like extra chapters in Daniel and Esther). The order of the books in the Jewish and Christian Bibles, even for the books, they share, is different. Additionally, the Christian Bible includes the New Testament (the Gospels, Acts, and Epistles) and could also include some of the Deuterocanonical books (like Tobit, Esdras, Baruch, Sirach, etc.).

Essentially yes. There are three groupings of "the Jewish Bible". The group as a whole is referred to as Tanach. It consists of:

  • Torah(including all Jewish Commandments and stories of the forefathers which are meant to teach lessons and derive laws)
  • Neviim(Stories about the Jewish Prophets which are meant to teach lessons and derive laws),
  • and Ketubim(directly translated as "writings". This category consists of writings from Prophets, Jewish leaders, or anonymously that is considered to be divinely inspired.)

There are two sections of "Torah". The written and oral Torah.
  • The written is the aforementioned Torah(scripture).
  • The oral Torah is the explanation of/and expounds on the written laws. It explains the intricacies of the laws. Originally The oral law was not written down but was passed down by memory from parent to child for hundreds of years. Eventually as people became either less intelligent or became assimilated to gentile societies it was deemed necessary to be written down to preserve the knowledge. Once written it became known as Talmud.

Actually the Torah is part of The Bible--everyone's Bible. "Torah" is just a Hebrew word that basically means "teaching", and it is the name given to the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.

Answer

NOOO....Not at all

The Torah came first and it is the words of G-d which will never be changed (old testemant)

The bible is the New Testament and they changed G-ds words by adding about Jesus and other things which was never there

IT says in the Torah that no one can add or take away from the it

The Torah is the main words of Hashem

Christian Answer:

The Torah indeed came first... and it is only the first part of the Bible. The New Testament, which is the second part of the Bible, "completes" the Word of God... as the Torah testifies:

"...Bind up [complete] the testimony, seal the law AMONG MY DISCIPLES." (Isa.8:16)

The New Testament illuminates the Torah and reveals the spiritual Truth that was hidden therein, before the Almighty Creator God of the Torah, Jesus Christ, came in the flesh to fulfill the promises He made to the fathers; Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - (Rom.15:8).

Isaiah prophesied of the Israelites' unbelief and the stumbling block Jesus would be to them, when Jesus would call and sanctify His disciples to seal the Word of God and complete it with their inspired writings.

"...He shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and a Rock of offence to both houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken." (Isa.8:14-15)

The two houses of Israel remain unaware and unbelieving of Isaiah's words, because only the minds of faithful men will Jesus open to understand the Truth of the Torah:

"...Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures..."

(Luke 24:45).

Even Jesus' own disciples... who would later compose the Holy Spirit inspired words that would complete the testimony of God [that would eventually become the Bible]... had been ignorant of the Truth contained in the Torah, until Jesus revealed it to them.

"These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in THE LAW OF MOSES, and IN THE PROPHETS, and IN THE PSALMS [the Old Testament], CONCERNING ME." (Luke 24:44)

Jesus' promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to "bless all the families [nations] of the earth" could never have been fulfilled without Israel's unbelief... which in turn, rejects Jesus in their hearts as the Messiah... and opens the door for the salvation of all people everywhere. As Paul reveals in his binding testimony:

"...God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day... I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles [all the families of the earth - Gen.12:3], for to provoke them to jealousy... (Rom.11:8-11).

"...blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written [in the Old Testament], There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob..." (Rom.11:25-26; Isa.59:20).

The Torah is not the Bible. It's only the first part of it... mysterious, misunderstood and incomplete without the New Testament to illuminate and reveal the prophecies of Christ contained therein. Together, the two testaments make up and complete the Bible.

The Talmud is the Jewish equivalent of the Muslim Hadith; the Hadith exists to interpret the laws of the Koran, and the Talmud exists to interpret the laws of the Torah. The criticism Muslims generally make though, is that the Hadith comes from a single source, namely Muhamad, where the Talmud is a multi Rabbi compendium.
