Standard 2 Piece Harness Up To Late 1990
It's because your car is a whack car. Your best choice would be to lose the piece of junk!!
passenger rear door where the seat belt comes out of the plastic. Take the top piece off and pull the bottom piece out alittle. your security box is right there and it has the number on it. good luck
Look on the inside of the liftgate and you'll spot a plastic trim panel/piece directly behind the High Mount brake light. Gently pry this piece off and you'll have access to the bulb and socket.
I would check the brake regulator switch, located under the dash near the top of the brake pedal. Its a silver piece that has a button like switch that activates every time you press on the brake pedal causing the light to turn on. It could be stuck in, causing the brake light to stay on.
No Mercury is a piece of Jimmy Barne's bicycle. Yes it is an element
I'm pretty sure u remove the cowling from the front and it shall come off in 2 piece's to get to the part u suggest u may have to remove the exhaust manifold
Sounds like the brake light switch is broken. It is located above the brake pedal, replace it with a new one. Your local auto parts store will have that part.
Try checking the switch in the hand lever itself. Sometimes it can get a piece of trash stuck in it.or it can be worn out. On a 93 escort the parking brake light also doubles as a low brake fluid warning light. It may be the same with a 2001. So you could have a leak somewhere.
your in luck i just had to do this on my 95 lol you will have to carefully lower your steering column, and above it there is the brake light switch conected to the brake pedal and a rod going towards the front of the vehicle where the master cylindar is at. on the little piece sticking out to the right of the brake light switch there is a pin that keeps it in place. remove that pin and then remove the wires connected to the switch. should come right off and then just put the new brake light switch on and reverse the steps. hope this helps
just pull out on it with your fingers, it's held on by clips.
I have read that the piece in the transmission that holds a car in park can break. I would just use the parking brake each time.
