According to the manual, it shouldn't come on unless the bike is overheating (accompanied by 9 or 10 bars lit and blinking on the gauge). If that isn't the case, maybe there is some other problem or computer error, but, no, it shouldn't be lit all the time.
Just recently, I've been having a possibly related problem; where the 675 heats up to 9 bars on the gauge disturbingly fast and doesn't cool off. However, it doesn't break into a blinking frenzy, or turn the temp light on. Still enough to make me panic a bit and turn it off to cool down.
Any experts on Triumph coolant systems out there?
this is normal, because the coolant temp sensor is supposed to be in direct contact with the cooling fluid in order to read its temperature
Generally speaking, it should not get any hotter than the normal operating temperature of your engine coolant.
