Is the emachines computer a good kind of computer?

The phrase "you get what you pay for" is generally applied to all PC's. E-Machines are generally made with cheaper parts. If you just need a computer for Surfing the web or word processing, consider one, or a netbook.

I personally would stay away from emachines. Bad experiences with an old computer. emachines are mainly budget computers and if you are looking for a computer that can run things well then try somewhere else.

Emachines, Gateway & Acer are all the same company and all 3 have some of the highest complaint levels & having the highest problem rates out of virtually all other brands available.

Good for budget machine for basic email and browsing only, but that's it.

Yes. eMachines still make computers. The reason you do not see advertising as much with this brand is because not very many people like that brand, therefore do not buy them, thus causing the company to not have enough budget for advertising.
