No. Unless its cracked from being dried out or anything like that. It should be fine. Just make sure you clean it well before hooking everything up. And don't eat the first set of ice cubes it makes.

It sounds like you have a piece of ice stuck in the ice maker, so you don't damage the ice makers fins by prying out the ice by hand, I suggest you completely defrost it, and plug it back in.
