Why the Americans were able to win the war The Japanese had already pretty much destroyed the U.S Navy in the region of Hawaii (Pearl Harbour), but the ships werent entirely ruined. The Americans could rebuild their fleet but it would take some time for it to happen. The U.S American Navy was located at Hawaii which means that the water was shallow that the ships did not fully sink. The Americans weren't being attacked at the time before that so they had alot of time and money. What the Japanese did was Bring in America to the war which was a really big mistake. Estimates are that between 750,000 and 1,000,000 would have died in an all out invasion so for the americans it was a good thing to save lifes for the Americans

The price paid by the Japanese was terrible (with massive loss of life on both sides), culminating in the dropping of two atomic bombs by the Americans on Japanese. There is much debate, even today, on the use of the two bombs, but it did stop the war and prevented further loss of American and their Allies lives.

Yes and yes. The holocaust is both. Take into context diplomacy's definition and debate's definition. Diplomacy is, for lack of better words, peacefully dealing people. Debate is, well, just what it says. So, with the holocaust, it was war and with this famous quote, "All war represents a failure of diplomacy.", it shows that yes, diplomacy did have and idle effect in the holocaust, but you can do that research. Just in case you were wondering, yes, I am extremely rude about research because, I've spent the past 4 and a half months trying to answer debate and diplomacy of capital punishment. Do NOT consider telling me that that's easy, its not when you teacher is supposed to kinda guide you and you don't know what to do. I went to the library for 3 hours at a time trying to find info.
