the little girl's account is true. she was 4 at the time of 9/11, 5 when she wrote the lyrics, and is 11 now (i think, nearly 12).
although it is her account of her losing her father the voice on the tape is not her's. the voice you hear is KISS FM's producer's daughter. he read the lines to hear and she repeated them. the added a bit off emotional effect and there you go. i think they didnt use the real child's voice to protect her idenity (although, I'm not certain)
