Replacement of the heater core on a 1993 Mazda Protege is going to first require the removal of the entire dashboard. Once that is removed then the heater control box will need to be removed and disassembled in order to get access to the heater core inside.
a manual will help with diagnosis and repair, and a shop manual should be available at the local library in the reference section for FREE, make copies of the right pages, good luck...:)
Follow the plug wires back to the distributor cap. On my 93 DX it is on the drivers side of the engine block underneath the air intake assembly.
yes
Yes and No. The motor itself will fit as long as it is the same series of motor. Any D series motor is interchangeable. The Problem you will run into with a 98-93 swap is the computer system interchange. A 93 civic is running Obd1 and a 98 civic is Obd2. If u are changing the type of motor from say D series to B series i would refer to a forum that has a walk through to swap, or at least a list of parts you will need to buy for the swap. a good resource is honda-tech.com the motor itself is interchangeable, and most of the sensors... if you have old motor swap everything over so it will just bolt right in..
NO!! The Mazda engine and ford engine are totally different period.Mazda was still strickly Mazda until 1993. It was not until 1994 when Mazda and ford became the same on engine and tranmission similarities. You need a Mazda engine for your Mazda transmission.Note the 1986-1993 Mazda bseries trucks are all Mazda manufactured.Ford is not interchangeable with these models period.
Yes, if it is the F series engine it will bolt right up. H and F series transmissions are interchangeable.
On the pinch welds, or frame.
As the 1993 did not have the motorized shoulder belt system but instead had air bags the front doors on the 1990 are not interchangeable with the doors on the 1992-93. The passenger rear doors should be interchangeable.
