Yes and no.. the powersteering it self is a motor that is in the steering column. a fuse power's the motor, so if you blow the fuse you will lose powersteering. If you jump start your car from the +- terminals Near the fuse box under the hood you will blow your powersteering fuse, also if you lock the wheel all the way to one side and hold it there for a good amount of time there is a chance in blowing your powersteering fuse. Always Jump your car from the battery terminals in the Trunk.
there are two powersteering fuses located under the hood of the ion in the fuse box ( look at the chart that is in the fuse box to see which ones are which ) Jay

A person can change the fuse in a 2003 Saturn Ion for the power steering system by opening the fuse panel beneath the hood, then push the levers to lift the cover off the box. Next find the power steering fuse and pull it out with some small pliers. Finally, slide the new fuse into the slot to have a new fuse for the power steering.
Under the hood fuse panel near the battery
From my understanding it is not a fuse to fix the powersteering. It is a colum that has to be fixed by the dealer ship but I maybe wrong........
there is no fluid, they have electric power steering.
To replace the power steering rack on a Saturn Ion, You must first dissmantle the current steering rack by accessing the main hood, and from there you can screw the new steering rack into place
The underhood fuse box. its either an 80 amp or 100 amp fues
I believe there is none, it has an Electronic power steering. They replaced mine on my 2003 ION.
2004 Saturn what?? if it has electric power steering its and ion or vue, its under the hood in the fuse block on the drivers side, depending on the car, its a mini fuse or a j-case fuse, did you blow it when jump starting??
I have a 2006 Ion - the power steering went out. My dealer said that this was a common problem - Saturn was working on a recall. They took care of replacing the steering column - no charge.
The power strg unit is in the column yes....It is electric power strg. The steering rack remains the same
there is no power steering fliud because your power steering is electric steering.there is no fluids nor is there a pump...all electrical
Power steering is not electrical. It is driven by an engine belt that turns a hydraulic pump.
