Not sure what you mean by white asbestos but you are probably referring to chrysotile which is a curly rock fiber that has not been shown to cause lung cancer but does cause asbestosis which is just as deadly and horrible. Amphibole or straight fibered asbestos is the type attributable to mesothelioma which is a small cell lung cancer. There are reports that straight fiber asbestos can also be attributed to stomach and intestinal cancers if enough has been ingested.
