You can sell a vehicle to a salvage yard for parts with a bill of sale if they don't intend to resell the vehicle, but if you sell it to an individual, and they want to register the vehicle, they will need a title.
Is it possible to get a title with just the bill of sale in Tennessee??
you can get a bonded title. or put a mechanics lien on it
go to the mva and show them the bill of sale
You and the previous owner can draw up a title. Just get it notarized and it has to be legal.
tell them it is just that unique that there isn't a title
The bike never had a title. Just have a bill of sales that should be sufficient.
As long as it was not stolen, yes. just put on the bill of sale "AS IS, NO TITLE. I MAKE NO WARRANTIES OF TITLE, MERCHANTABILITY OR USE." this clears you from having a title and they cannot come back to you saying that you were going to get the title for them. also if they break it when they use it, it says that you wont warranty or fix it.
Yes, Wisconsin state law allows a 10 day waiting period without registration. It is legal to drive those ten days with proof of title.
Not a good idea. What if the guy doesn't really HAVE the pink slip? What if he owes a lot of money to the bank and that's why he can't get the pink slip for you? What if he has sold it to someone else and given THEM the pink slip and you just get a bill of sale? No, go to the DMV and get a replacement title and have him sign it over THERE. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do not ever buy a car without a "clean" title (without liens). I am not sure what the law in CA is but cars that are 20 years or older do not require a title in many states. Y-THINK-Y
I recently bought a vehicle about 6 months ago and the dealership didn't have the title! So I'm just wondering if I could register and tag it without a title!
Yes, just like it is legal to keep a quarter, or a penny.
no because you just can't do it without promtoin
