Yes, the turkey population in Missouri has decreased in most areas in the past few years. Why? How I understand it is that we've had such bad weather through part of the year, atleast to the turkeys appearently that their hatches just havn't turned out very good through the past couple of years. According to the Conservation Department you'll probably see mostly two year old turkeys out in the woods.
