Another entry refferred to the need for a 7mm hex socket. It seemed legit so I am going to go buy one and try to replace the pads this weekend. The 7mm hex head socket is the tool you need. There are 2 bolts holding the caliper on. The heads are located behind the rubber boots that the caliper slides on. These rubber boots are on the back side of the caliper. You do not need to remove the rubber to get the tool into the bolt head. As you look at the hub and the caliper you are working on, the hex head socket needs to be pointing right at you in order to fit it in the head, which is pointing away from you. You cant see the darn head unless you have a mirror and a light, so its not obvious at first. Real easy once you get it, 20mins per wheel to do the pads.

Real easy. After removing the brake caliper, tap, if needed, the rotor loose from behind. By the way, I found out today the caliper cyclinders can be squeezed with a C clamp before the removal. This eases the whole process of the removing and reinstalling new pads.
Start with an inspection and adjustment of the parking brake shoes by removing the rear brake rotors. If the brake shoes are good and they are adjusted up and you still need more adjustment, make final adjustments on the brake cables under the drivers side of the vehicle.
To change the disc brake pads on a 2003 F250 you will first need to remove the wheel and tire. There are 2 caliper bolts behind the caliper which need to be removed. Then use a special tool or C-Clamp to push in the caliper pistons and replace the disc brake pads.
Tap on the rotors with a hammer, after removing the tire and wheel and the brake assembly. The rotors will come loose. Slide the rotors off and reverse the process.

After looking at pictures of the Honda CRV's rear brakes. A pad change appears to be a process of removing the two caliper support bolts, removing pads, turning in the caliper piston (special tool required). You may be able to use a needle nose vice grips to retract the piston. Then replace pads and any shims, fit pads and shims inside caliper housing, Clean and relubricate the caliper bolts (pins) and fit back onto rotors. I'll be doing a brake job on a 2003 Honda Crv tomorrow, and will let you know what I find
