location of knock sensor in 1997 cheverolet Tahoe SUV 305 or 350 engine
can a knock sensor leak oil for 305
it is a knock sensor that is used to adjust the ignition timing.
That is the knock sensor.
the knock sensor on a 91 camaro 305 in on the passenger side of the block, bellow the exhaust manifold. its a few inches in front of the bell housing., and has a single wire running to it. looks a bit like a temp sensor, or oil pressure sensor.
1 wire.
Different pistons, bigger valves, different cam.
No, a faulty knock sensor will cause a code 43 normally. check for spark, diconnect a wire from a plug, install a plug in the wire, lay it on something metal, have an assistant crank the motor and watch for spark...
it is on the drivers side of engine block screwed into block near side freeze plugs it is a 2 inch round sensor with a wire on top center of sensor
Drain cooling system. Carefully disconnect wire to sensor and use wrench (7/8 I believe) to carefully remove old and install new, reconnect wire. Alse make sure threads of new sensor have sealant on them
It is screewed into the engine block over by the starter, When you remove it antifreeze will run all over the place so be fast about it and make sure engine is cold.
It is screwed into the passenger side of the engine block just in front of the starter. It will have an electric wire pluged into it.
