The radio display on my 1998 explorer lmtd. has a mind of its own. Fades in and out-usually out. If you've checked all the fuses and wiring, its probably the display itself, (esp. if it fades in & out like mine). I am an avionics tech. and I have to replace these types of displays on a reg. basis. They are flaky by nature.
Sounds like a failed control head.
i have a problem with the automatic climate control the fan has only high speed
how can I set the remote control of the homelink garage opener in my Explorer Limited 2002 ?
Hell no. Even on a Limited w/ all bells & whistles.
According to the 2002 Ford Explorer Owner Guide : For the 4.0 litre SOHC , V6 engine : The engine cooling system capacity is : WITHOUT auxiliary climate control ( 16.3 U.S. quarts ) WITH auxiliary climate control ( 18.2 U.S. quarts )
If I understand your question correctly, a burned out dash bulb behind the display.
Your fan could be running continuously because your car is running hot. You should take your Explorer to a licensed mechanic.
The powertrain control module has detected a malfunction - take it to a professional and get it checked out (Helpfull)
Why would you even want to do it? It would be very costly to change it to a manual system.
I believe it is a blend door actuator. The blend door actuator "blends" hot and cold air enabling you to control the climate control temperature.
There could be two causes. The first is the fuse could be blown and the second is the motor may have went bad.
According to the 2004 Ford Explorer owners manual : With the 4.0 liter SOHC , V6 engine : The engine cooling system capacity is : Without auxiliary climate control ( 15.4 liters / 16.3 quarts ) With auxiliary climate control ( 17.2 liters / 18.2 quarts ) It came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water
