In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) in the engine compartment :
Mini fuse # 1 is a 30 amp fuse for the PCM relay
Mini fuse # 2 is a 10 amp fuse for the PCM and front electronics module
Mini fuse # 5 is a 15 amp fuse for the PCM and fuel pump motor
En el panel tengo un problema con pcm 30 fuse windstar 98
If you're looking for a stand-alone ignition controlmodule, there isn't one on the Windstar. This job has been transferred to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and its direct control of the coilpack.
It is the same fuse that feeds the PCM. So if the truck runs and the alternator works it is not a fuse.
On my ( 1995 ) Ford Explorer , # 19 is a 25 amp mini fuse for the ignition coil , PCM system
The cruise control is fed by the pcm. If the car starts there isn't a blown fuse.
Powertrain Control Module
On a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac : The PCM diode is located in the Power Distribution Box in the engine compartment on the drivers side ( it is in location # 53 ) The PD Box is " live " Also , in the fuse panel located in the drivers end of the dash ( the fuse panel cover is visible with the drivers door open ) fuse ( # 19 is a 25 amp fuse for the PCM power diode )
PCM is the abbreviation for "Camshaft Position Sensor" and can be found on top of the front cover (Timing Chain Cover) where the Distributor normally is at on a Ford. PCM is abbreviation for powertrain control module (computer) And is located Under the relay and fuse center in the engine compartment
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I was looking at the 1997 Ford Explorer fuse panel diagram and I noticed that fuse # 19 is a 25 amp fuse for the ignition coil and PCM system
In the power distribution box, in the engine compartment of a 1997 Explorer, (PD BOX IS LIVE - DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY CABLES ) in location # 2 there is a 30 amp maxi-fuse for the PCM power relay in location # 11 there is a 20 amp maxi-fuse for the PCM MEMORY and horn Relay# 5 is the PCM POWER RELAY and diode # 2 is the PCM DIODE ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In your fuse panel - visible with the driver's door open location # 13 - 15 amp fuse - for PCM system/stoplamps/AWD/ABS/speed control/ trailer tow location # 19 - 25 amp fuse - for PCM system/ ignition coil
On a 1999 Ford Explorer : You can see one end of the Powertrain Control Module ( PCM ) from the engine compartment . It passes through the firewall and you can see one end where the wiring harness bolts to it . Most of the PCM is " hidden " behind the glovebox area
With a custom-made exhaust manifold, a custom tuned PCM, and a lot of patience.
