Is there a picture of where the turn signal flasher is?

I have the same problem as alot of others , my directional flashes intermintently and i looked for the flasher and did not find one. Under the dash, mounted on the left side above the emergency brake is a factory sealed control unit , I seem to think the flasher unit is in there, you can usually feel the clicking by puting your hand on it ,but I can't feel anything.
As usual, the best place to look is in the owner's manual, under dash board lay out or electrical system diagram. If you don't have one, buy one, it will save you money in the long run.

The first and least expensive thing I would do is replace the turn signal flasher. If the flasher is weak, then it could act-up just as you have suggested. The turn signal flasher is a separate system then the four way or hazard flashers even though they use the same bulbs.
