did you try mossberg shotguns for parts,the 500 is almost the same as your gun ?
A Wards Western Field Model 41 is a 22-caliber rifle. It was actually manufactured by Mossberg, but intended for Wards. Manufacturing took place primarily from 1935 to 1939.
You may want to double check the model number on your Western Field. I have one myself, and it is a model SD59A. I've been told that it was manufactured by Savage/Stevens, and that from that manufacturer it was built under the model number 6.
