The glow plugs on a Ford Focus 2.0 TDCi are situated on top of the engine in a line. They are replaced by removing the plug wires and deep walled socket is used to unscrew the plugs.
0.052-0.056 in. make sure the engines cold when removing the plugs on this engine,this is an aluminum head and thread damage is common. also have compressed air handy to blow the dirt and debris out of the plug wells before removing the plugs.
Unless your ford focus is a diesel your car does not have glow plugs.
Replace plugs and filters, change fluids, replace serpentine belt. Plugs are replaced by removing fuel rails, removing coil packs over plugs, then changing plugs.
Change the fuel filter, and put in new plugs and wires. Gap plugs to .054".
You start by taking the engine cover off. You can accomplish by removing quarter sized plugs in the cover on top of the engine. Removing the plugs will provide access to screws to remove the cover. After removing the cover, you have to remove the coil packs which slide down on top of each spark plug. You should see 'posts' with 10mm nuts which need to be removed. Pull each coil pack out after removing the nuts, and the spark plugs should be accessible.
