Hi there, there should be a dial or knob that adjusts the brightness of your interior lights. i have an 06 Dodge ram, an there is a spin dial on my left side an you have to turn it up or you cannot see the tach, odo, or speedometer. Hope that was helpful
try turning your dimmer switch Also check your wiring, in my 89 LX it has the digital dash and that was the problem
Because your odometer, or something connecting the odometer to the battery, is broken. Most likely the odometer is the problem if the rest of your dashboard is working fine.
I suspect multiple problems. The blank or intermittent odometer problem is a common problem in the 2002 Ford Explorer. The ABS and airbag lights are most likely a different problem than the odometer problem. For complete information on the intermittent odometer problem, see http://www.odometer-repair.com .
The odometer on a 96 Ford Explorer is tied into the speedometer. If the speedometer is working then there is a gear problem inside of the speedometer causing the odometer to not work.
There are two possible actions: 1) Replace the speedometer head assembly, because that is where your problem is. 2) Ignore the broken odometer and forget about it. The speedometer and odometer are one assembly. The same input that drives the speedo also drives the odometer, so you have a problem in the head itself.
The problem is inside the speedo and has to go to a speedo shop to be repaired.
If the speedo works and the odometer doesn't, it neeeds to go to the speedo shop as the problem is inside the spedo. GoodluckJoe
If the speedo il ok but the odometer doesn't work, take it to a speedo shop as the problem is in the speedo.
Speedometer is ran by electronic sensor on rear end. Odometer is ran from speedometer. If both don't work problem is sensor. If speedometer works sensor is okay. If speedometer works and odometer does not problem is in mechanical parts (gears) of of odometer and has to be replaced. Can get used from eBay (search for speedometer or odometer, is one unit) or take to dealer.
If the headlights flash on and off, there may be a problem with the bulbs or fuses. There may also be a problem with the battery connections or wiring.
There have been problems with the odometer displaying an error but no recalls for it. The instrument panel has to be repaired or replaced to fix the problem.
The 2003 Ford Expedition is one of many Ford vehicles that are prone to problems with the digital odometer display. Symptoms of the common intermittent odometer problem include a dim or completely blank display. There is a complete discussion of the intermittent odometer problem at http://www.odometer-repair.com .
