There is a temperature switch that goes in the driverside head up front between the
#1 and #3 spark plugs. Reason it goes there is because that is the side GM ran the temperature wire too in the wireing harness.
but to answer your question, There is no left and right head, it does not matter.
At least no with that year of heads.
