no
on the front of the motor under the front crank it has a plug going to the crank.
Is there spark at the plus? is there fuel pressure to the injectors?
it is sugested that you change the fluid every sixty or so thousand, however there isn't relly that much going on in a manul transmission so you don't ever need to change it.
Yes, vacuum tubes in computers burn out. Transistors are much better. Vacuum tube computers no longer exist except in museums. Vacuum tube computers were originally made in World War 2 to calculate the positioning of antiaircraft guns. It was not necessary to know where the airplane was but where it would be when the explosive arrived. That was especially true when the Germans developed the buzz bomb going 450 miles an hour. When hundreds of transistors could fit in the same area as one vacuum tube, the vacuum tube vanished.
The vacuum line diagram should be underneath the hood, and the other information can be obtained by either buying a book at your local parts store, or by going to a Public Library.
Neutral safety switch going bad? Starter solenoid going bad?
alternator could be going out..
If you are talking about the symbol that looks like a box with a wavy line going through it, it means that you are low on coolant.
It depends on which distributor and transmission you have. The stock distributor has one vacuum line going to it. An autostick transmission has one line. If you have a manual transmission and a Bosch 009 distributor like most people do, you have no vacuum lines.
A gas engine produces its own vacuum, where a diesel engine has to have vacuum artificially produced. Your transmission problem doesn't sound like a vacuum problem. Have you checked the fluid level? When was the last time you changed the transmission fluid filter?
Check for a vacuum module on the transmission. If you see a vacuum line between the transmission and engine, disconnect the line and look for transmission fluid inside the line. If you see transmission fluid in the line, replace the vacuum module. It probably has a split or damaged diaphragm inside.
I am nearly 100% certain it is NOT in the interior console. It is likely the electronics you see mounted on the top of the transmission under the hood, drivers side, right where the cable bolts onto the lever. There is a bulkhead there with 2-3 plugs going into it. This is what you are probably looking for.
The vacuum modulator is located on the passenger side of the transmission, just above the tranny oil pan. It has a vacuum line going to it. It actuates a valve in the tranny for upshifts.
In my 2002 Intrigue, the cabin filter is under the black plastic covering the wiper mechanics on the passenger side. It has been a while, but the wiper arm has to be removed and the plastic plate going across has to be raised slightly to reach the filter.
yes and no yes in that it can be made to fit no in that a Chevy transmission has a different bolt pattern than Oldsmobile's, Buick's, and Pontiac's. the motor mounts are also probably going to be different. However you can change the motor mounts and there are companies that make adapters to use a Chevy transmission with a Oldsmobile, Buick, or Pontiac engine. I have seen an adapter to use a ford transmission with a Chevy engine.
Might be a vacuum leak- check vacuum hoses
i would check the vacuum hose that goes to the vacuum modulator on the transmission the vacuum modulator probably has a hole in it and the fluid is going into the engine and being burned or check your coolant the radiator may have a hole in the transmission cooler inside the radiator so check your coolant and the vacuum hose for trans fluid good luck
