Your dad needs to see a neurologist or even his family doctor for treatment. There are medicines out there that can stop migraines, and if he has them more than two times a month there are medicines that can help reduce their frequency. ibuprofen and Tylenol often do not work for migraine sufferers. Then need specific migraine medicines, or hard-hitting pain killers - the kind prescribed by a doctor. (Fioricet w/codeine or Ultram are two of the main options for treating migraine pain)
If he really doesn't want to go to the doctor, ask him to take Magnesium every day, and vitamin B2. They may help reduce the frequency of his migraines. During a migraine attack, he can try Gelstat Migraine. It is an herbal remedy that can have the same effect as many of the prescribed treatments. Feverfew - which constricts the blood vessels (blood vessels becoming wide is part of what causes such pain during a migraine) and ginger - which helps with nausea.

It can be sometimes and sometimes it cant. Like when it helps you and when it doesnt
Saw a neurologist today and was told i suffer from footballers migraine, in short, no it doesnt. I've been told dietary issues could be causing mine, he recommended making sure i ate breakfast in the mornings, NOT to take paracetomol etc when i have a normal headache, and although not scientifically proven, taking ibuprofen before a match MAY help. I suppose everybody is different and this is just what I've been told, but the neurologist said theres no long term damage being done to the brain when suffering from these football heading induced migraines.
that could happen in any religon
