Depending on your car. On some cars you can do so by adjusting the gas pedal cable connection but I won't advise an ametuer to do that cause you might cause your gas pedal cable to be loose and that will cause big problems.

Whats the problem when a 91 camaro rs 350 reaches 80 RPM while in park?

hopefully by 80 u mean 8000 rpms i'd say ur idle is set too high because the car won't idle at 80 rpms once it goes below a certain point it cuts out so i'd say find a way to loosen the throttle cable

What is the normal idle speed for a ford probe gt you have mine set at 1500 rpms is this normal?

The idle speed depends on the year model. The GTs from 1993 to 1995 should have idles speed between 650 and 800rpm. I believe the 1996 and 1997 models had a slightly different idle speed, but either way 1500 sounds too much. You can adjust idle speed on your car of course.

94 dodge stealth won't idle?

i had this same problem on my 1991 dodge stealth the problem is with the iacv ( isle air control valve) this is located on the throttle body. simpley remove the 4 bolts holding the throttle body canclean it there should be a very smalll hole inside the throtle body. if this gets anything over it the car wont idle. that's the right way to fix the problem. if you don't want to take the time to do it right, then you can pay the extra money on the gas you will have to get to do it the second way. ( scond way {temp fix} ) located on the back of the throttle body you will find a switch connected to a wire that is connected to the gas peddle. there should be a bolt under the switch tightening this bolt will increase your idle rpms. increase it to 1,500 rpms that will get you by for a while but you will have to keep adjusting it. ( the correct way takes about 30 mins i HIGHLEY suggest that you take the time to do it right )good luck could also be several other sensors, mafs mass air flow sensor is also quite common

How does Auction Sniper increase the chances of winning an auction?

It's an automated tool that you can use to place or increase your bid during the final seconds of an auction. That way, you don't have to be actively trying to increase or place your bid manually at the minute.

How do you idle down a 2003 Yamaha ttr125?

As you are sitting on the bike, there is an idle adjustment screw on the left hand side of the carb about 1/3 of the way up on the slide. Turning the screw counterclockwise will slow the idle speed down on your bike and turning it clockwise will increase your idle speed ...Good luck

How do you adjust idle on 1987 BMW k75?

Same way on all k75 k100 motorcycles. With the engine off twist the throttle and look at the the part that moves on the throttle bodies about 1 foot below the gas tank near your left knee as you are sitting on the motorcycle. Make sure the bike is fully warmed up - take it for a 10 minute ride. Aim for about 1000 rpms at idle. Loosen the lock nut and turn the screw clockwise to increase the idle and counter clockwise to lower it. Mrbios '92 k75s w/ 63K miles san diego, ca To balance the 4 (or 3) cylinders, you will need a carb stix or similar device, to measure (and balance) them as you adjust the idle screws.

There's a loud screaming noise under the hood mechanic said power steering but adding fluid did nothing and there never was a steering problem. It gets louder as RPMs increase. What can it be?

The power steering pump could be on it's way out.

Why do the rpm rev up when driving but you are acceletrating any higher?

The RPM rev up when driving because of the way your car's transmission works. Essentially, the transmission is responsible for sending power from the engine to the wheels. The transmission's job is to change the RPMs that the engine is sending, so that the wheels can turn at the correct speed. When you accelerate, the transmission increases the RPMs that the engine is sending to the wheels to provide more power. The faster you accelerate, the more the RPMs will increase. This is why you hear the RPM rev up when you are accelerating.
