Is there a way to reset the windows on a 2002 XK8 convertable they normally drop down about an inch when the door is opened and return when the door is closed dealer wants to replace the door latches?

with the ignition on put down each window in turn and keep your finger pressed down until you hear a click approx 2 or 3 seconds then put the window to full up and repeat ie hold finger on button until you hear it click you need to do this on both windows
