Sometimes you can tell if you take the cover off but if you are alredy there you can replace it. Get a manual on your car to find out how to do it.

According to the Gates website ( they make timing belts etcetera ) The 1994 Toyota Camry 2.2 liter 4 cylinder : - has a timing BELT - the water pump is driven by the timing belt - it is NOT an interference engine - with severe duty the timing belt is changed at 60,000 miles

Yes, it uses an internal timing "CHAIN", not a belt. The timing chain should last until the engine needs to be rebuilt.

The '94 V6 has a belt that should be changed every 105,000 miles. The 4-cylinder has a chain. Older models from 87-93 with the V6 and a square-toothed belt should have the belt changed every 60,000 miles. The 93-94-95's with the round-tooth belt all have 105K change intervals. -88pathoffroadanswerIf it is a 4 cylinder z24 motor its got a timing chain. V6 VG30 its a timing belt

Has your timing belt been changed? From what I understand, the car automatically turns on the light every 60,000 miles (the recommended interval between timing belt changes). I changed mine well after the light came on (it came on while the previous owner still had it) and the belt was long overdue. Also, when you do change it, you have to manually reset the light.
