my science techer told me that she drinks 4 bottles of water a day because it flushes out all the stuff inside you and keeps you full then you go to the bathroom and she has gone from being over 250 pounds to about probably 210. you shouldn't drink it oo much regular meals daily should not be replaced by water

I would advise weight training. Weight training has always been the best workout to burn fat.

Also, women over 40 begin to lose bone density and that puts them at risk for osteoporosis later on in life. Weight training has been shown to increase bone density in women over 40.

in general it is tough to lose weights for women compared to men cos women have more concentration of hormone estrogen.

But with proper framing of diet and training program one can lose weight without constraints of age and sex.

Just follow a sensible workout program with dieting which comprises of more protein and vegetables

The best way to loose weight is to do it naturally. Eat health, avoid fast food, and products with lots of preservatives. Look at the new food pyramid and figure outwhat you need to be eating and make sure your getting what you need and not an excess of one thing and none of another. Make actual meals instead of those microwave dinners. If you don't have to cook it, but just heat it up, chances are its not the best thing for you and you could be eating something better. Avoid "snaking". Lots of people will eat just to eat. Sit in front of the tv and eat a bag of chips. The less you do this the better. Eat smaller meals. Americans are infamous for the size of their meals. The healthiest way to eat is to eat small meals but eat more often. Me for example, I only eat roughly 350 calorie meals, but I eat 6 or 7 times each day. Experiment and have fun with what you eat. Things can be healthy and taste good! Get a cook book and just start experimenting! Exercise!!! Just be more active in your daily life. My suggestion is to get a yoga mat or something and just have it sitting in the room that you spend most of you time in. For most people that would be in front of the tv. If that is the case, when commercials come on, get up unroll your mat and do some crunches or something. Or if your in an adventurous mood try some yoga or pilate's, tai-bo if you really want a work out. Or instead of sitting in front of the tv get up and go for a run/jog. If you can't then start with walking and build up to it. This is great if you have a dog, then both of you can get healthier! Instead of driving somewhere close, ride a bike or walk. There are plenty of ways to exercise! One thing that is great is dancing. If your cooking your healthy meals in the kitchen, turn on some music and just move! I do this sometimes and I have found myself breaking a sweat while I'm frying some vegetables! Again experiment, have fun, and find what works for you.

It can be hard at times but if you stick with it you will see results. Not only in your weight but your quality of life! When I started being a healthier person I saw a huge difference in my entire life. I used to be a quite sullen person and now I am energetic, outgoing, and happy! You will find that as you get going with it you will get more energy, you will FEEL better, and you will be happier with yourself. This natural way of loosing weight is great because not only will you loose weight and feel better you will also extend the length of your life! Stick with it, have fun. And get other people involved! Get a group of people together and all of you go out and go for a walk or a run everyday. This will help with motivation and will make it more fun. Plus it will help others as well!

The best way to lose weight after the age of forty is to start off with a simple cardio routine. This could be simple things such as a brisk walk or squats. Do this for ten minutes a day to start with. This could be the start to losing weight and never finding it again. Do this for two weeks, and if you are still finding it stenuous then continue doing it. If you are finding it too simple after one week, then start with some more cardio or weights, you could also double the time. After two or three months try something more rigorous like a Zumba Program
