They are located in the cylinder heads. Just follow the wires and that will lead you to them
Pull off the upper intake plenum and you will have access to the plugs and wires.

According to one of Fords websites : For a 1992 Mercury Sable : The 3.8 liter V6 engine has spark plugs gapped at ( .054 inch ) The website does not show the 3.0 spark plug gap
Just had the spark plugs and wires replaced in my 2002 Sable and it cost $420+ tax. Hope this helps
