The inetia switch/coil is in the top of the steering wheel column under the air bag. It shouldn't need to be reset unless the air bag was deployed or the steering wheel removed.

i think you are thinking of the air bag clockspring, i think is question is there a fuel cutoff in case of a impact? the only cars i seen with inertia engine cutoff was Ford. most time front impacts damage wire harnesses critical to starting also check all your fuses. does it crank? or does it not make a peep when trying to start?
