fuel rail leaking or on the fuel side of rail there is a "O" ring in line to seal it from leaks. if it is leaking, release fuel pressure from system, take out main fuel line to fuel rail and replace "O" ring on end of line.
Put the "O" ring on the line and lubricate it with a little silicone.
Fuel line or fuel rail
It is directly under the upper intake plenum. (The part that says 3100 or 3400).
It carries the fuel from the fuel pump to the fuel rail and back.
i thought it was in line with fuel rail,,should see 50 cent size round object with vacuum line near fuel rail.
the fuel line pump is what sends the fuel up to the fuel rail. the fuel system is a push pull system there is a pump inside the tank that pulls the fuel out the tank and another "fuel line pump" that pushes the fuel to the fuel rail. it is usually located inside the frame under the drivers side of the vehicle.
If the fuel rail does not have a Schrader valve, you will need an adapter to put in the line.If the fuel rail does not have a Schrader valve, you will need an adapter to put in the line.
Both types have a vacuum line running to them: On the 3.8 engine it is on the fuel injector rail (Metal Fuel Line) near the return line. On the 3.4 motor the fuel return line is mounted to one side of the regulator and it is attached to the fuel rail on the other side.
If there isn't a schrader valve on the fuel rail to attach to, you will need an adapter to plug into the fuel line.If there isn't a schrader valve on the fuel rail to attach to, you will need an adapter to plug into the fuel line.
Find your fuel injectors and follow your fuel rail to the fuel line. Track it back to the gas tank/fuel pump.
it connects at the fuel rail.
