Glycerine is the main ingredient to look out for in toothpastes. This can be derived from both plant and animal sources. From my research, the other ingredients in toothpaste are all synthetic or plant derived. There are a number of toothpastes available which are vegan-friendly and don't test on animals also. No it does not contain any animal ingredients
Some brands of toothpaste do contain gelatin which is made from the bones of cows and other animals. If the toothpaste does not list gelatin as an ingredient then it does not contain any animal bones.
