The driver's power window is the only window not working. What is wrong?

cANNOT GET THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW UP, IT IS PARTWAY DOWN AND HAVE TRIED SPRAYING CLEANER IN IT, NO GO. WHAT DO I DO? The switch, or relay, for that window is faulty, or worn out (since drivers window is most used). Replace it.

Fuses for Dashboard and Power Windows keep on blowing on 2003 Ford Explorer?

Here is some futher info. regarding the problem I'm haveing with the my car. I own a 2003 Ford Explorer. A while back the driver side power window stopped working on the car. I assumed it was the motor that has gone bad, but suddenly about a month later the window started to work again. I lasted for a couple of months and then it stopped working again. It has now been about 9 months since the window completely stopped to work and suddenly one day when I started started the car the whole dashboard was out. Couldn't see anything; didn't know how fast I was driving, couldn't see how much gas was left, radio was out and all the power windows were out. I assumed a fuse had blown and change the fuse for the dashboard and power windows. It lasted for about a week and again the fuses blew for the dashboard and power windows, I changed the fuses again but as soon as I started the car they would blow again. I decided to take the car to the dealership. I spent 5hrs at the dealership and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with the car. They told me to change out the burned out power window motor on the driver side and also change out the master power window switch, since they thought that could be what is causing the fuses to blow. I changed out the driver side power window motor, but decided not to change out the master power window switch since all the other windows are working just fine when the fuses don't blow. After I had changed the power window motor and again replaced the fuses the car started up fine and my dashboard was back to normal, radio was working, and all windows were working. Well, that lasted for about 1 day and as I was parking my car at the store the fuses blew again. Dashboard, radio, and power window are again not working. Anyone has any idea what could be causing this. I went ahead and went to the dealership and bought the master window switch, but has not changed it yet since I first want to check here and find out if anyone has had a similar problem or know what could be causing this. So I purchased the master power window switch. Also today when I looked at the fuse to the power window switch it was still fine but the fuse for the dashboard (cluster) is blown/blackened. So I'm not understanding why the power windows are not working. I did take out the master window switch a few minutes ago, and before I put in the new one I decide to replace the dashboard fuse to see if it was actually the master power window switch that was causing the problem, since it was not a cheap part. Well, the fuse blew right away so obviously it is nothing wrong with the master power window switch. I'm loosing it over here, please help.

How can you raise a power window on a 97 Honda Accord manually since the motor is dead?

It cannot be raised manually. You will have to repair it in order to raise the window.

How do i fix car electric windows not working and power lock on driver's side not working?

You might want to get out your owners manual and see which fuse controls the windows and make sure it is not a fuse. Since you didn't mention the make of the car I have no more advice other than the fuse.

How do you fix the electric window on a 1994 Toyota 4 runner 3.0?

Unless you're into wasting money by just throwing parts at it, the first step to any repair is diagnosis. Clearly, something isn't working - exactly what, you haven't told us, but presumably it results in your power window not working. Assuming the other power window works (since we don't know that, either), then you're looking at three likely culprits - a bad window motor, a bad switch, or faulty wiring. Start by testing the switch to see if it's getting power and relaying power when it's depressed. If it's not, then replace the switch. If it is, then move on to the electrical contacts at the motor, and see if they're getting power. If they are, then you need to test your window motor, and that's probably your culprit. If you're not getting power at the motor, then you need to trace the wiring between the motor and the switch, and find any breaks or shorts in the wiring. If your problem with the window is something else, then you need to tell us what. Kinda difficult to tell you how to fix something without knowing what the problem is.

Why would the rear window on a Le Baron conv just stop working you were trying to fix the other one and the one that was working just quit working while working on the other one?

check the fuses for the windows you may have shorted it out it is part of a circuit and since circuit is open when disocnnected the other window on the circuit will not work once you close circuit the other side will work

You have manual windows is it possible to install driver power window unit you have power door locks?

installing manual windowsone way to install power windows for your car if they are not equipped is by finding the exact car at a salvage yard with power windows installed. the problem with this is you have to replace the window regulator(the part that hold the window in place) and get all the wiring for the power motor that operates your window. also you will have to decide if you will be replacing the side panels to accomodate the new switch you just acquired to or will you just place a hole in your existing panel. then where will you get the power to operate the window? I'm certain you can mount a hot wire to your fusebox although if you are not careful you can burn your wire if connected in the wrong place. all this can be very tedious and fustrating. unless you are sure of your mechanic skills i would not recommend doing this procedure.the other way is i have heard of custom shops that install alarms and such can do all this for you for a price. how much depends on the year and kind of car since they will be purchasing new aftermarket parts to install in your vehicle. so its pretty much up to you how much you want to spend..time or money or both.

Clio Window washer not working?

If it's the back window washer that's not working, I had the same problem. Seemly the tube that carries the water to the rear window has become detached. How i realised this was that I had refilled the water container and still couldn't understand why the window washer arm was working but no water coming out onto the window. Then my back seat was wet. It was because the water was being pumped when I pressed the back window washer switch. Something made me turn around and you wouldn't believe it. The actual water was coming out of the top of the left back passenger seat belt near the top of the window. I still have to get this fixed. But it might be the answer you are looking for. My back seat has remained dry since realisation of this has prevented me from switching on the rear window washer.
