It is the users opinion! That is what Ubuntu stands for, too. The user has a choice, and Ubuntu wants to be that choice.
I like Ubuntu more than OSX and I think it looks a lot more professional.
Ubuntu can be installed on a Mac or run from a LiveCD (See links below). It can be run on a virtual machine on top of Mac OS X.

If you are starting and new to Linux try Zorin OS. If you are experienced and know more about and how to use Linux the get Ubuntu.
Mac OS X Lion is better than Windows 7 because it is faster, doesn't get viruses, is a lot more secure and in my opinion has a better user interface. It's up to you though to decide which is better. Remember if you get a Mac you can run both Windows 7 and Mac OS.
Mac OS X 10.4 was called Tiger and Mac OS X 10.5 was called Leopard. The 10.5 (Leopard) version is better than the 10.4 (Tiger) version. They would not have sold many copies of Leopard if it was worse than Tiger.
No.
An operating system which is easy to navigate. Window xp,mac OS X, Ubuntu
Ubuntu is a free and open-source desktop operating system. It is designed to allow you to allow you to do the things you would normally do with a desktop, but without vendor lock-in like you would have on Windows, or even Mac OS X.

Mac OS X 10.6 still beats Windows. Mac OS X 10.6 systems are more stable and secure than any Windows, and this has been proven. 10.6 still beats Windows in performance. It is also in my opinion more useable than Windows 7.
It will depend what you are trying to achieve and how you define better. If software is written to use Microsoft's Windows system and is not available for Apple's Mac OS then Windows would be better. If you are using a Mac made by Apple then the Mac OS would probably be more suitable but you can always switch to Windows on a Mac if needed. If you are looking for a cheaper, virus free, trouble free computing experience then Mac OS would be your choice.
