If i were you, I would drink both. Many salts and nutrients you need are sweat out during excsersize, and replacing them while working out is beneficial to you (Gatorade). Similarly, when working hard, you may find that you can lose upwards of 3-6 pounds of water, so it is important to replace that. However, the molecules in Gatorade are a bit bigger, and not as readily available to become sweat as water alone. Gatorade however, can still not provide the benefits of water in terms of long term hydration.

Uum. Yea! Gatorade is just sugar and salt (electrolytes according to marketing). If you drink Gatorade you are consuming sugar calories, which then need to be burned or stored. If you drink water you are consuming 0 calories. My rule of thumb there is drink a "sports drink" only after more than 1 hour of strenuous excersize.
water
Gatorade has quicker acting hydrents than water.
Well you must state what you mean by "which works better." works better at what? well i think this is what you're talking about. Gatorade is better for a sport but water is much better for a sport or anything. You should just drink water, of course you can drink gatorade, its not that bad for you but don't drink it to much.
It depends on the type of sport you're playing, and the weather conditions. On a very hot day where the heat index is at a dangerous level, and where you are sweating well above normal, Gatorade might be a decent choice. Sports involving padding/helmets and hot weather certainly warrant consideration of Gatorade. The idea of Gatorade hydrating you any better than water is a complete myth. Gatorade contains electrolytes, which water doesn't, to help aid your basic muscular functions in extreme conditions. But it isn't absorbed into your system any better or more quickly than water is. This is a very common misconception that has been drilled into our heads by Gatorade's marketing campaign. The amount of sugar in the drink is worrisome, however. I recommend cutting Gatorade in 2 with water. 90% of athletes should just stick to water. And drinking Gatorade while not playing a sport is completely unnecessary!
Independent . . . what substance the 7th grader drinks Depoendent . . . his pulse rate
While exercising at a swim meet, drinking Gatorade will help to replace lost electrolytes.
In some way, even though I personally think that water is good for your health because it opens your skin to moisture and vitamins. Not only that, it keps you hydrated, while as Gatorade has salt, sugar, and bascially chemicals that aren't good for you. You if you wnt my advice, drink water while exercising. They only want to advertise Gatorade, so people could buy it and they get rich. Imagine how much money they get! Plus, I believe water would cost less for you because of the carbohydrates in Gatorade cause overeating and over drinking, causing you to get fat. Now what wold all that exercise do for you. Beleive me, I'm an expert on Gatorade!!!!!!!!! okay that is so NOT true i did my science fair on it and all the carbohydrates and etc. raise your blood pressure for a safe boost of energy that can keep you hydrated and all the salts and sugars... it has none! your body provides those... Gatorade is just an electrolyte replacement drink that replenishes them for you... keeping the salt out of your blodstream... i hope i was able to help :)
of course, your supposed to drink water while your exercising
Yes, it rehydrates you and contains electrolytes to keep you going. Water doesn't contain those extra electrolytes. However, when not playing sports, water is much healthier. Gatorade contains a lot of sugar so when not participating in sports, water is the healthier option.
Gatorade or water can help to keep you hydrated.
Lucozade and Powerade have sugar in, not alot. It is better to have water if you are just excising for 20mins or so. But if you are training for longer periods it is better to use sports drinks.
Depends on the person, for some exercising in a relaxed state works better than a "pumped" state.Generally fast music helps most people while exercising
Drinks such as Gatorade contain salts and sugars, which makes the drink isotonic. This mans it has the same concentration of your body fluids, and it is more easily absorbed by your body. The only way this could affect your heart rate while at rest is if it is drunk excessively, in which case the sugar in theblood might trigger raise in heart rate. While exercising, the drink keeps hydration levels higher for longer.
