Iv got a cat but you won't another but your mother will not let you what should you do?

What can you do? I've wanted a cat for years, but my mom won't let me get one. But here's some things I've tried that I think might help.
- You could take care of the cat you have to show you are responsible
- you could make a written promise that you will take care of the new cat.
- you could do some research, or volunteer at a local animal shelter, to show you are serious about this cat.
- If you want a cat from a shelter, than you could play the rescue, abandoned, orphan kitty card.
- Find a cat that your mom loves, then she won't be able to resist taking it home
- Offer to pay for the cat/food ect.
- Look in your newspaper for local cat ads, you could find a good deal
- Do some research on cats
- Post signs around your house
- Ask once a day, and back it up with good reasons, stay calm, and only ask once a day
- Make/buy cat posters and hang them in your room to show how much you love cats
- Cat sit other people's cats
- Tell your mom you'll let her pick the cat
- Calmly ask your mom to sate the reasons that you can'thave a cat, then calmly explain what you'll do about each problem
- Do a lot of research and post your findings for all to see, so you know what you're talking about (you might impress your mom)
- Constantly talk about cats
- Buy cat books
- Donate time or money to local animal shelters to show you care
- Say all you want for your birthday/Christmas/Easter/Hanukkah ect. is a cat, and she won't have to get you anything else
- If she says cats are too expensive, ask only for what you need/really really want, and turn off all lights to save power/money
- Say you're cat is lonely and needs a friend while she's at work and you're at school
- Keep your eyes open, would she let you keep a stray cat?
- Talk about how you want to rescue a little baby orphan kitten
- Take matters into your own hands, if you see an ad in the paper, call them yourself (with permission of course)
- What if your cat had kittens
- Don't give up
- Make sure the first thing you see when you walk in your room is cats
- Get good grades, a cat could be a reward
- Save up, show your mom when you have enough money for a cat
- Frequently visit your local shelter
- Conduct Cat surveys around your house
- tell all your friends how much you love cats, so when they come over, your mom will see you are serious
- Keep a notebook of your ideas and their sucess
- Make a poster with sad statistics, like how many homeless cats are put down a year, and say you want to rescue one of them
- Be reasonable in everything you do
- Foster a kitten from a shelter, they are always looking for foster homes
- Become obsessed with cats
- Don't forget, once you start something stick with it
Really think about and plan out everything you do, stay calm, and don't loose your head.
