Blue exhaust smoke is not a sign that the valves are the only thing in need of attention. If the rings are shot, you can get blue smoke, as you also can anytime there is an abundance of oil being drawn into the engine to be burned--- like through a defunct pcv valve. An excess amount of oil in the crankcase can also flood the cylinder walls and cause this, usually when the overfill is in excess of 1qt. jb So do a compression test to see if the compression is equal (+/-10%)in all four cylinders and pull the PVC valve and ascertain it is operating properly or replace same.
your timing can not be right
Check your timing... Also make sure your distributor is still good... I just had to change mine on my 97 civic
If it is still sputtering, it is important that you take it to a mechanic to have it checked. It is possible that you did not change it well. Take it to a professional mechanic if you are not one.
Still Burning was created in 1997.
well they say it was burning for 40 years so i believe it's still burning
yes, book burning is still practiced today
i have a 1991 Honda civic dx 3 door hatchback auto trans. that has an oil leak somewhere around the timing chain area ive changed oil pan and valvecover gaskets ithought at first it was these still got oil leak
If it is a CRX then I believe it is an interference engine and yes you could have possibly damaged your valves pistons or both with the timing belt failure. The only way to know for sure is to do a compression test on the vehicle assuming it will still turn over after you fix the timing belt
No
rplaced and bleed brackes on a 95 Honda civic but still no brakes
a 1980 civic hatchback , that thing still running,
2006 Civic has a chain, no replacement necc. but the water pump still has to be looked at!
